A comedy about Stewart Lewis, a native New Yorker who becomes tired of working for his wife's father and commuting from his job in Manhattan to his home in Long Island, and decides to move his family to Texas. To fulfill a life-long dream, he purchases a saloon, and attempts to run it. At the same time, he and his family struggle to adjust to life away from New York.

Lewis & Clark College is a private liberal arts college in the northwest United States, located in Portland, Oregon. It has an undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences, a School of Law, and a Graduate School of Education and Counseling. It was originally chartered as the Albany Collegiate Institute in Albany, about seventy miles (110 km) south. The school moved to the Portland campus in 1938 and in 1942 adopted the name Lewis & Clark College after the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Today, the three schools and their supporting offices occupy the 137-acre (0.55 km2) campus, centered on the M. Lloyd Frank Estate on Palatine Hill in the Collins View neighborhood of Southwest Portland.
